Viridian Foundation

We give wings to those in need

The Viridian Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Johannesburg dedicated to provide for the needs of underprivileged and vulnerable children and babies.

Viridian is a big-hearted company, committed to creating a nutritional supplement range with integrity, quality and innovation. The company was founded in 1999 on two fundamental principles; to develop a range of supplements with the highest possible ethical standards and to generate significant funds for children’s charities.

By choosing Viridian Nutrition as your preferred vitamins, you are not only be benefiting your own health, but also helping benefit the lives of others.

What does Viridian donate?  We do not donate money, we only donate whatever the needs of the baby shelters and children’s homes are.  We have firm ethical principles as a company and would like to ensure that the donations are distributed to the children directly.

All charities must be properly registered and we check they have no involvement in animal research.

banner2013 Butterfly Effect Project

The 3 pillars Viridian rest on is Purity, Charity and Environment.

The Butterfly effect will give our consumers, retailers and suppliers in the health industry the chance to do something small that will make a huge change in somebody’s life.

South Africa is seen as a ‘developing country’, but there are thousands of children suffering from malnutrition.  A lack of micronutrients can lead to disease and even death – we would like to see children flourish, be healthy and get a good education.

The worldwide statistics for malnourished children show shocking results – 450 000 children under five die every year due to zinc deficiency (UNICEF/MI/WHO) – this certainly puts things into perspective.

We would like to target children, pregnant women and New mothers by donating Pregnancy multivitamins and Children’s vitamins and probiotics to clinics in the rural areas.
